OCTOPUS/"SQUID" Octopus vulgaris Usually amazing masters of disguise, they can change surface texture and colour very quickly, including going speckled to merge with the surrounding rocks. Sitting completely still, they are difficult to see. On sand they can look like stones or coils of rope. This one, however, seems to have enjoyed the photo opportunity! |
